What are British Values?
At Chipping Warden Primary Academy, we prepare children for life in modern Britain through the promotion of British Values of:

- Tolerance of different faiths, cultures and beliefs
- We demonstrate Democracy through:
- Our elected School Council sit at the heart of decision making
- We learn how to debate our views and opinions so that our voice is heard
- Questionnaires contribute towards school decision making and ensure our voice is heard
- We demonstrate the Rule of Law through:
- We have agreed rules and expectations so that our school is a safe and happy place
- We use restorative justice to mediate any conflict if it arises
- We learn about laws, authorities and the importance of living in a democratic society
- We learn about fairness and justice
- We demonstrate Individual Liberty through:
- We have a strong anti-bullying culture
- We provide opportunities to develop self-esteem and confidence as individuals across the curriculum
- We take personal responsibility for our own actions
- We learn about ourselves and explore our personal beliefs and how the fit in Modern British society
- We learn about Human Rights
- We demonstrate Mutual Respect & Tolerance through:
- We discuss and appreciate the differences between people in terms of their faith, beliefs and teachings
- We promote our school values and our school motto
- We learn about religious expression
- We learn about tolerance, understanding and respect for people of different religious and cultural backgrounds
